MUSIGA President Obour pleads with TV and Radio stations not to play music today (Videos)

The President of Musicians Union of Ghana, Bice Osei Kuffuor affectionately known as Obour has pleaded with managers of television and Radio stations not to play music today 14th September, 2018 which has been declared as a ‘no Music Day’.

Speaking in an interview with Attractivemustapha.com after a press conference to elaborate on the ‘NO Music Day ‘, Obour said that it is an initiative by MUSIGA aimed at making the citizens know the essence of music in our life.

According to him, it is also expected to instill some measure of appreciation in Ghanaians towards the role of the music industry.

“So we will plead with all TV and radio stations not to play any music on 14th September, they can run their talk shows without music, so that listeners will know that the day is no music day ”

The initiative is the brainchild of MUSIGA and supported by
Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), Zylofon Art Fund (ZAF) in collaboration with International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) .
