Meet Nana Konadu-Asare, Winner Of 2017 ‘Quint Studer Difference Maker Award’ In USA – She Shares Her Success Story & Charity Works

Ghanaian born Nana Konadu-Asare residing in USA, was one of two winners of this year’s prestigious Quint Studer Difference Maker Award.

Sharing her derring-do with Presspeep.com all the way from the States, elated Miss Nana Konadu-Asare said, “This is a nationally recognized award where there were 250 nominees. Of the 250, there were two recipients and NaNa’s Project was one of the winners.”

Miss Nana Konadu-Asare was born in Accra, Ghana. At age two (2), she immigrated to the United States with her mother. She’s currently a college student pursuing a career in Medicine while simultaneously working full time in the Emergency Department as an Emergency Medical Technician.

She’s very passionate about alleviating the agonies of sick and feeble ones who cannot afford medical care due to financial constraints – hence, formation of NaNa’s Project. Her vision is to use NaNa’s Project to remove barriers to quality medical care by educating, training, and importation of medical supplies to poor and needy communities and healthcare facilities into Ghana.

About Quint Studer Difference Maker Award

Nomination

Individuals from across the healthcare industry are encouraged each year to nominate a peer or colleague, regardless of their title or role within their healthcare organization. Out of the 250 nominees, there were only two recipients for this year and NaNa’s Project was one of the winners.

Medical equipments collected by NaNa’s Project for her charity work include: Gloves of various sizes, Surgical masks, IV Starter kits, IV needles, Burn Kits, Insulin/ medication needles, Neck brace, Surgical sponges, Respiratory Kits, Medical grade cleaning kits/ spill kits, Laparoscopy Kits, Lumbar puncture kits, Hospital Bed, Wheel chair, Patient lift, Portable eyewash stations, Scales, Thermometers, Band-Aids, and the likes.

According to her, plans are far advanced to ship assorted medical supplies to Ghana – as she’s in preparation to come to Ghana by January, 2018.

“This summer we have a huge shipment ready for delivery—we just need sponsors to help us with the shipping cost! Sponsors will be able to choose the location within Ghana for donation—NaNa’s Project will then use our research to identify hospitals and/or medical facilities in that area to receive the supplies” she said.
