Ghanaian Musicians are lazy and unprofessional–DJ Toxic (Okay FM)

Veteran Ghanaian disk jockey (DJ), Dj Toxic, known in real life as Stephen Frimpong has stated that Ghanaian Musicians are lazy and unprofessional which makes it difficult for DJs to waste airtime promoting their songs .

According to Dj toxic who works with Okay fm , Neat Fm and Peace fm , radio DJs always look out for good and professional songs to play buy unfortunately majority of Ghanaian musicians these days mostly provide substandard songs which makes it difficult for them to play on air

He then cautioned Ghanaian musicians to stop blaming DJs for promoting foreign music rather than local content.

“ Ghanaian musicians are lazy and unprofessional ,they don’t research, lack creativity and always mimic and follow trends, “It’s about time Ghanaian musicians sit-up and understand their chosen profession, know what it entails than putting blames on DJs”, DJ Toxic stated.

He lamented that most Ghanaian musicians do shoddy work in the studio and blame DJs for playing foreign materials.

“It is annoying when Musicians do their crap they call bangers, get your contact and WhatsApp their songs to you expecting you to download with your own credit and play”, he added in a chat with Ghanacreativearts.com

2017 DJ award nominee said, Ghanaian musicians as a result of laziness lack commitment, communication and respect.

“I was shocked when I heard Pope Skinny passing an immature and infantile comment that Ghanaian DJs play Nigerian music than our local content, he’s someone I’ve known way back and he’s still doing the Fun World rap, they must sit up and stop the blame games because good music needs just a little push” DJ Toxic lamented .
