GAW Honors Professor Kofi Anyidoho (Pictures +Video)

The Ghana Association of Writers has honoured Professor Kofi Anyidoho, a celebrated Ghanaian Poet and academician at this year’s edition of Annual GAW Special Sunday on 7th January, 2018.

Professor Kofi Anyidoho is one of the greatest African Writers of all times whose efforts and creativity in upholding the cultural heritage of Ghana and through literature has contributed immensely to the development of Ghana’s socio-cultural space whilst selling our rich customs to the world.

The worldwide renowned Professor who gained his PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Texas is a Literature lecturer at the University of Ghana and have to his credit numerous books and poems such as “A Harvest of Our Dreams, The Promise of Hope, The Place We Call Home” and several others.

He has received prestigious awards for his poetry including the the BBC Arts and Africa Poetry Award, the Fania Kruger Fellowship for Poetry of Social Vision and the Ghana Book Award
