Fuel prices too high; the economy is tough & unbearable – Van Vicker (Video)

Ghanaian celebrated actor Van Vicker has stated that the current Ghanaian economy is tough and not the best.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanaian Blogger Attractive Mustapha, the iconic actor said comparing the current prices against that of a few months ago, there have been an astronomical increase in prices which is unbearable.

Van Vicker explained that he cannot “brag” about enjoying life and speak as if everything is fine in the country when the economic situation is evidently tough.

He affirmed the reality that when fuel prices go up it affects commodity prices on the market.

Using his Vantastic restaurant as an example, Van Vicker said he has been operating his restaurant for a year and the prices of ingredients are too high at the moment.

“Back in the days when we go to the market on weekly basis, we spend about Ghc500 to Ghc700 depending on shortage but now we spend about Ghc1000 to Ghc1500 weekly and all this is happening just within one year“.

He however opined that the economy was neither good during the National Democratic Congress era.
