Fear Coronavirus – Gabby warns after the death of Sir John; others hospitalized

An influential member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko is calling on all to fear coronavirus after the death of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Forestry Commission Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie.

About 117 persons have died of COVID-19 in Ghana after five additional deaths were recorded to  112 by the Ghana Health Service

The Ghana Health Service‘s Wednesday evening update said the total number of cases is now 18, 134 after 393 new cases were recorded.

Two members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are currently battling the virus at the Intensive Care Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra where the former General Secretary of the NPP was before his death.

According to sources, Campaign Manager for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2020 general elections Peter Mac Manu and Carlos Ahenkorah, a Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry have been identified as the two individuals.

Reacting to the devastating effects of the novel coronavirus leading to the death of Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie affectionately called Sir John, Gabby simply said “ Fear Coronavirus”

He added “Only this afternoon I called to wish him speedy recovery… This is truly shattering! Tough to swallow… Sleep easy, Sir John”
