Ebony Reigns’ ‘maame hwe’ is my favourite – John Mahama pays tribute

Former President John Mahama, has joined Ghanaians to eulogize the late dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns.
In a Facebook post, John Mahama expressed his condolence to the former afrobeats artist.

“RIP Ebony. A talented life cut short. My favourite track on domestic violence and relationships, “maame hwe”, he wrote.

The 20-year-old singer and a military officer were on board a Jeep with registration AS 497—16 from Sunyani heading towards Kumasi when it collided head-on with a VIP bus heading towards Sunyani from Kumasi.

According to DSP John Adusei, Mankraso District Commander who spoke to Accra-based Joy FM, the military officer also died later at the Bechem Government Hospital.

Ebony’s passing comes after rising to stardom and at a time many have tipped her to win Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards
