Dzifa Gomashie hosts students from Ketu-South District

Hon Dzifa Gomashie, the Executive Director of Values for Life (VFL-Ghana), has advised students from the Ketu-South District to study hard to be able to contribute positively to their communities and Ghana in general.

She said they must be motivated by their future goals and plans to enable them to concentrate and pursue their dreams.

Ms Gomashie said this when she hosted the finalists of the 2017 Ketu-South Writing Competition on an excursion in Accra.

The fun-filled trip saw the students, their teachers, and some members of the Education Directorate of the Ketu-South District, visiting memorable place in the capital, including Parliament House.

This was in a statement issued by VFL-Ghana, a Non Governmental Organisation, and organisers of the trip.

Ms Gomashie said students were happy to visit the Silverbird Cinema at the Accra Mall to watch the trendy movie; ‘Black Panther’.

The day got more exciting as the team visited the residential theatre group of the National Theatre, Abibigroma, where Mrs Gomashie’s life in the Creative Arts Industry started.

Mr Mawuli Semevo, a legendary Ghanaian Actor, received the students who were entertained to performances emphasising on Theatre for Education and Theatre for Entertainment.

This was followed by thrilling dance performances from some members of Abibigroma together with the Former Deputy Minister, members from VFL-Ghana, the students and their teachers.

The students also had the chance to have a glimpse of the Sankofa Statue, which was donated by VFL-Ghana to the National Theatre.

The team from the Ketu-South District expressed their gratitude to the Management of VFL-Ghana and said they looked forward to supporting the upcoming VFL-Ghana Reading Clinic and Skills Development Project to be held in Aflao in August.
