Darkovibes and Davido Join Forces on “Je M’apelle”

Trailblazing Ghanaian Afrobeats artist Darkovibes and acclaimed Nigerian-American singer-songwriter-producer DaVido have joined forces on Darkovibes’ infectious new single Je M’appelle available now across all digital streaming platforms via The Orchard. The single arrives today alongside a colorful Jay Vertex-directed video.

Darkovibes is fresh off the release of two projects issued in 2020. His critically acclaimed debut solo album Kpanlogo explored his roots and musical heritage while his eclectic 8-track EP The Cornerstone fuses elements of Ghanaian Afrobeat with hip-hop, rap, and trap and showcased the diversity of a true artist who spans countless genres and whose influence knows no international boundaries.

Produced by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Killbeatz, Kpanlogo saw Darkovibes collaborate with a handful of Africa’s finest musicians including Mr. Eazi, Joey B, King Promise, Runtown, and Stonbwoy. The breakout album yielded the chart-topping single Inna Song (Gin & Lime) with King Promise, which became #1 on Apple Music’s 100 Best Songs 2020(Ghana Chart) as well as on Apple Music’s Africa Now playlist – the streaming platform’s largest African music playlist – all since its release.
