COMMITTING THE FUTURE INTO THE MASTER’S HANDS

KEY VERSES:Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”
James 4:13‭-‬15 NIV

There is an old song that goes like “because He lives,I can face tomorrow, because Christ lives, all fear is gone, and now I know, yes I know, he holds my future, and life is worth a living just because He lives”
There is nothing a man can do to absolutely guarantee their future. An old devotion I shared talks about the dynamism and intangibility of this life. One’s carefully planned life can not give them hope for tomorrow. Indeed no one knows tomrrow. The future can be scary. In college, we are often pressured to figure everything out, but in all honesty, many of us are still unsure about what we are going to do with our lives in the immediate future, let alone the next five or ten years. Many are saving millions in banks and may not even live to enjoy them.
In the midst of this pressure to plan our lives out completely, God reminds us that He is in control and that we don’t have to figure our future out on our own, in fact, we really shouldn’t. God’s plan for our lives is much better than any plan we could try and make on our own.Sometimes the events of our past makes the future look so gloomy but God says we should just leave the future into His hands.

In Isaiah 41:10, God says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

We do not need to worry about our future, because God is going to be there every step of the way.All we need to do is to commit our lives into His able hands and trust that He is able to bring us to an expected end.

Moreover, in Philippians 1:6, Paul says, “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Whatever God is doing in your life, He’s not finished with you yet. This is even more encouraging that God’s got an amazing plan for your future. God is not going to lead you for a little bit and then leave you to figure things out on your own. There is no insurance policy as comprehensive and reliable as placing your future in the capable hands of God.
This is proven in Deuteronomy 31:8 when it states that “The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Beloved, because God lives we can face tomorrow. We will not die before our time.We will not end up failures. Our lives are totally secured!!If you don’t know Christ, please gives your life to Him now and He will fix your future.

Prayer:Today,I place my future in your able hands.Make something out of my broken life.

I love you all and may God bless you.
