Beneficiaries Of The Zylofon Arts Fund Were Finally Presented With Their Cheques

The Zylofon Arts Fund is a scheme structured to support the various creative arts arms of the nation both locally and internationally, to boost the prominence of the Arts and Tourism in Ghana.

The official opening of the fund’s secretariat, and official presentation to the various beneficiaries took place today, March 23 at the Zylofon Arts Fund Secretariat adjacent Lord Of the wings inside East Legon, Accra. www.entertainmentgh.com was present!

Renowned movie producer Socrate Sarfo, was revealed as the financial advisor of the fund among four other members who form the five-member committee in charge of analyzing proposals.

Beneficiaries of the Zylofon Arts Fund were finally presented with their cheques after going through a rigorous process.

The beneficiaries included, renowned film producer of Venus Films, Alhaji Abdul Salam Mumuni, who received a whooping GHc239,550, CEO of AA Productions Mustapha Adam also received GHC289,800, and Saddick Sulley,a social media comedian/actor known for his SDK-comedy skits also received GHc10,000.

Spoken word artist and poet Chieff Moomen with his Bambu Center also received a GHC100,000 cheque from the Zylofon Arts Fund.

The poet who had earlier via social media called for support from the CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensa to help produce a theatrical on Mansa Musah received the money to help embark on a regional tour for his production “WogbeJeke”.

Sammy Flex also disclosed that, as at March 23, the board had received a total of 89 applications which comprises of creative arts projects from the various industries.
