Ghanaian celebrated musical Band Akwaboah Band which belongs to Highlife musician Akwaboah together with Some top showbiz personalities were honored at the 2019 Ghana Creative Arts Awards on Friday, for their contribution to African traditional music.

” we are really excited about this gesture and it is humbling. It is a great feeling that we am being recognized for our contribution to this sector ”. the leader of the band Akwaaboah said after winning.

Some industry players were also honored at the event including actor David Dontoh; Ignace Hego of 4Syte TV; radio presenters Ola Michael and Halifax Ansah Addo; politician and musician Bice Kuffour (Obour); former MUSIGA President, Diana Hopeson; actress Grace Omaboe; former Ghana’s Most Beautiful queen, Sally Akua Amoakowaa and Madam Jane Nyame, Executive Director of the National Commission on Culture.
