Akufo-Addo cuts sod for construction of GH¢5 million ‘Ghana Award House’

The president of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has cut a sod for commencement of construction of the Ghana Award House.

The project which will cost taxpayers GHS 5 million is meant to be a new administration for the Head of state Award scheme,

According to the President, since the award scheme’s inception in 1967, it has touched the lives of many Ghanaians, giving them the opportunity to voluntarily serve the nation in various capacities.

Should the project be completed, It will make Ghana the second country in Africa behind Kenya where they have to have it’s own administrative office.
