The NDC raised concerns with the provisional voter register when the EC shared it with political parties and urged its members to protest nationwide against discrepancies the leadership of the party said were uncovered.

Mustapha Gbande said all the necessary measures including an agreement with the police on the routes for the protest have been reached.

“I do know that subsequent to our meeting with the police on the route, they have agreed with us and we will start at 7 am and terminate at the EC’s office and theirs [the police] is to give us enough protection. We will walk slowly so that Ghanaians who are even blind and disabled can join the demonstration.”

He also alleged they have picked intel that members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are planning to foment trouble and said such persons will be dealt with.

“We also do know that the NPP is intending to let their people wear our shirts and come and cause trouble and we will deal with those people. We will deal with anybody who will covertly come to cause trouble. Even the police that we have has been neutralized with members of the invincible forces and we will deal with all such elements.”
